At Hess Corporation, our Corporate Values reinforce our commitment to traditional Hess strengths and underscore the qualities that define us as a leading global independent energy company. One of our six core values is Social Responsibility where we commit to meeting the highest standards of corporate citizenship by creating a long-lasting, positive impact on the communities where we do business. We partner with community groups, governments and stakeholders to develop programs to make a measurable and sustainable difference. Hess STEM is one such program.

What is HESS STEM?

Hess Corporation and Baylor College of Medicine have partnered in a STEM Educational Outreach program.  The program offers free learning kits which include Hess Toy Trucks along with a STEM Curriculum that demonstrates how the toys can be used as learning tools by teachers nationwide.

The application period for a 2017 Hess Toy Truck STEM kit has closed.  Applications received between 1/16/18 - 1/31/18 are currently under review.

Eligible applicants include current, full-time employees teaching any grade 2 through 10, at a verifiable school.  Applications will not be considered for community groups, libraries, Scout groups, after school programs, or home schooling parent-teachers. If your school was a recipient of a 2016 STEM kit in April 2017, it is not eligible to receive a 2017 STEM kit.

1,000 teachers will be selected at random, with a limit of 1 STEM kit per school district.  All applicants will be notified, whether selected or not, by 2/28/18.  Toy trucks will be mailed to those selected by 4/15/18.

You can still download the free 2017 curriculum here and use any toy truck you have on hand.  The 2016 curriculum is also still available for free download here.
